As crazy as it sounds, I’m quite excited about the new Cure album coming out soon. Having been a fan since about 1985 or so, you’d think I’d have given up a long time ago. But I can’t. The music is so infectious, the lyrics sublime. It’s always exciting to see what they will do next. THere is not one thing they have done that I do not love. Well, I haven’t loved all of their stuff upon first listen (The self titled album recently), but after a few listens it’s like an old friend. I can pick up a Cure album, and be transported to another place. Sure, my musical tastes tend towards the heavier, crazier side of the audio spectrum, but as soon as I hear Robert Smith’s voice, I’m like a teenage girl, all weak at the knees…
